This batch of Protium amazonicum resin contains a variety of specimens ranging from gold and to dark brown. This is true amazonian copal, prized by Incas for its powerful fragrance. This is an attractive of copal, with a distinctive, light scent full of green, powdery, piney, and citrus top notes, over delicate woody base. This is not like Mexican copal, which has a strong and sharp terpene lemony scent. Protium resins are a little different, and you will be surprised by the mystical smokiness of this resin.
