Pure and fresh frankincense from Sudan - Boswellia papyrifera
Boswellia papyrifera is a common and widely prized frankincense. It is the choice incense of many Christian denominations, owing to its rich, uplifting and warming scent. Often, lower grades of papyrifera frankincense can be found in circulation. The Ethiopian papyrifera in my shop is a rare, high-grade example of a more common papyrifera. This Sudanese papryifera, however, has a lighter, more complex scent, conveying sharper citrusy notes for which this resin is well known.
